Cookie policy
No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no ads. Only the few cookies the website needs to work. Last updated 1 October 2026.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser, so it can remember something between page views. Cookies can be used for many things, from keeping you signed in to tracking you across websites. PolyOmi only uses them for the first kind.
The cookies we use
This website, operated by Sekvia, can set the following cookies. All of them are strictly necessary.
Session cookie (admin area)
- Purpose: keeps logged-in staff signed in to the admin area of the website.
- Who gets it: only our own staff when they log in. It is not set for ordinary visitors.
- Duration: the session. It is removed when the staff member logs out or the session expires.
- Type: strictly necessary. Set by us.
lang
- Purpose: remembers the language you chose in the language switcher, so the website is shown in that language next time.
- Who gets it: only visitors who actively choose a language in the language switcher. If you never use the switcher, it is never set.
- Content: only the language code, for example da or en. Nothing else.
- Duration: 1 year.
- Type: strictly necessary (functional, requested by you). Set by us.
Cloudflare security cookies (for example __cf_bm or cf_clearance)
- Purpose: the website is delivered through Cloudflare, which protects it against bots and attacks. If Cloudflare needs to check that a visitor is not a bot, it can set a security cookie, for example after a browser check (challenge).
- Who gets it: only visitors Cloudflare needs to check. Most visitors never get one.
- Duration: short-lived. __cf_bm lasts 30 minutes; challenge cookies last for the period set in the website's security settings.
- Type: strictly necessary (security). Set by Cloudflare as our data processor.
What we do not use
- No analytics or statistics cookies
- No advertising or retargeting cookies
- No social media buttons, plugins or embedded videos from other websites
- No fonts or scripts loaded from third parties that could set cookies
Why there is no cookie banner
Under the ePrivacy rules, which in Denmark are implemented in the cookie order (cookiebekendtgørelsen), a website must ask for consent before it stores information in your browser. There is an exception for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for, or to transmit and protect the communication.
All the cookies above fall under that exception: the session cookie is needed for staff to sign in, the language cookie only stores a choice you actively made, and the Cloudflare cookies protect the website. Because we set no other cookies, there is nothing to ask your consent for, and no banner.
How to delete or block cookies
You can delete cookies and block them in your browser settings at any time. If you block the lang cookie, the website still works; it just cannot remember your language choice. If you block Cloudflare's security cookies, you may be asked to pass a browser check more often.
